French Transporter 3 Poster

August 20th, 2008

Once again Jason Statham is back as Frank Martin in the Transporter 3. The poster was found on the films French website and seems very plain if you ask me. I’m sure most Film Grenade fans know we are not the biggest Jason fans here. I personally think his action movies are a ridiculous blend of over the top action and irritating dialogue. But who knows maybe Transporter 3 will change my mind…probably not. Well what do you guys think of the poster anyway?

Superman Sequel Coming…Or Not?

August 19th, 2008

So it looks like Warner Bros. is still wondering what to do with the  garbage pile that was Superman Returns. Should they make a sequel, or maybe start from scratch like Batman Begins did? I personally think they should begin anew, mostly because the previous movies by Richard Donner told his story of Superman, just like Tim Burton told his own story for Batman. Because we are a different generation of people we want to see a different generation of hero, if that makes sense. Now it seems like we are in a different day-in-age and Superman has such a rich comic book background, that branching off the old story just seems lazy when they could just tell the origin, and maybe have a villain Superman could beat the crap out of instead of just lifting things…

Fans have been clamoring all over the web–and on this blog–for a complete reboot. And within the halls of Warner Bros. the same debate rages on. They too believe that the last movie didn’t break the mold and wound up in some kind of middle limbo. Today I was told that it is a priority at the studio to find the right direction and if Bryan Singer is willing to do that, fine, but if he gets in the way, he may not stay on the project. There are no writers working on a Superman script now. The studio wants to figure it out. “It might be better to start from scratch,” one exec admitted.

Hopefully they can make the right decision and make Superman into a movie worth watching and bring a bigger fanbase to DC because Lord knows they need it. So heres my question would you guys rather see a total revamp or a sequel to Superman Returns?

W. Behind the Scenes Clip and High Res Posters

August 19th, 2008

So we just got our hands on a few new items from W. The first is a behind the scenes clip and the second are two new posters in high resolution for the head of state himself. Now I understand how a lot of people can have such severe disdain for a movie based on the life of George W. Bush, but I really think it could be a funny yet informative look at his life and how effed up this guy was. Honestly I kind of want to see this movie, and looking at Josh Brolins impression in the video below i think he’ll pull of a great Dubya!

Body of Lies Trailer

August 19th, 2008

Body of Lies should be a great suspense filled movie. Roger Ferris, played by Leonardo DeCaprio, who uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader suspected to be operating out of Jordan. Before Ferris creates his plan to get inside the network, he must first gain the back up from CIA veteran Ed Hoffman, played by Russel Crowe, and the collegial, but may be the suspect, head of Jordanian intelligence. Even though they are his allies, Ferris does not know how much he can trust these men without being obvious and putting his life and the operation in danger. I really like Leo and the movies he has done and i assure you guys that this will be a great movie.

New Outlander Extended Clip

August 18th, 2008

A new Outlander clip has came out via the Internet and it doesn’t look that bad. The trailer to me wasn’t that interesting but after watching this clip, it makes me think that this film could have potential. I personally think this movie is no where near Lord of The Rings potential. According to IMDB the film does not have a official release date except for “2008.”

2 New Burn After Reading Character Clips

August 18th, 2008

We just got these new Burn After Reading clips featuring Linda and Osbourne. The clips are pretty funny and give us a few more good looks at the players in this film. The other two videos which featured Chad and Harry were also hilarious so definitely check those out! After seeing No Country For Old Men last year, I have true faith in the Coen Brothers abilities in film making, especially because all of the teasers and clips for this movie look hilarious. So check out the videos below and let us know if you’re excited to see this movie.

Fake Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Poster

August 18th, 2008

According to spoilertv they have just gotten their hands on the first official Transformers 2 poster. I personally have a little doubt that this is real just because of all the fake posters that have been coming out lately. If this poster is official it would be a good add on to the Transformers 2 Character Guide released two months ago. Does anyone else think this is fake? DreamWorks/Paramount are planning for a June 26, 2009  release for “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”

Watchmen too long? Join The Minutemen!

August 17th, 2008

So two thing to bring up with Watchmen, first things first it looks likie Kevin Smith saw an early screening and loved it! Heres what he said about it!

“I saw Watchmen. It’s fucking astounding. The Non-Disclosure Agreement I signed prevents me from saying much, but I can spout the following with complete joygasmic enthusiasm: Snyder and Co. have pulled it off. Remember that feeling of watching Sin City on the big screen and being blown away by what a faithful translation of the source material it was, in terms of both content and visuals? Triple that, and you’ll come close to watching Watchmen. Even Alan Moore might be surprised at how close the movie is to the book. March can’t come soon enough.”

So looking at how things are going with Watchmen it looks like the movie is going to be roughly around 2 hours and 50 minutes. And Warner Bros. has a problem with that. Zack Snyder( director) has been debating with them about the length of the film for a little bit now, so a group of vigilante petitioners have made up a petition in the name of justice! Well more so to keep the length of Watchmen 2 hours and 50 minutes.

JOIN THE MINUTEMEN

We, the ‘Minutemen’ below, respectfully demand a 3 hour running time for the forthcoming movie ‘Watchmen’ from Warner Bros. Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Dawn of the Dead), Watchmen is a film adaptation of what is widely regarded by comic fans as the greatest superhero story ever.

The Dark Knight Second Highest Grossing Film Ever

August 16th, 2008

So at this point in time The Dark Knight is perched quietly behind Titanic in the list of Top Grossing movies. So basically today is The Dark Knights 30th day of release and it just past Star Wars on the charts. Star Wars had $460,998,007 and TDK has just surpassed it. Alright looks like Titanic is next on the list, sitting triumphantly at $600,788,188. You know what to do Bat-fans, if we all go see TDK 2 more times each it will probably beat  Titanic! You know what to do guys,(grabs coat and runs out with finger pointed up).

New Harry Potter Release Date

August 16th, 2008

For all you Harry Potter fans I am sorry to tell you that the Half Blood Prince release date has been moved up to July 17, 2009. It was originally planned to be out in November of 2008 but Warner Brothers has decided to give it an 8 month postpone. Personally, I’m kind of upset because Ive been looking forward to seeing Half Blood Prince ever since The Order of the Phoenix was released. Hopefully Warner Brothers can pick up the pace and get the movie done before July 17. What do you guys think about this situation?

Death Race Clips and Red Band Trailer…

August 15th, 2008

Well here you go, I broke down and posted a bunch of clips and a trailer for Death Race. To be perfectly honest with you guys I’m not a fan of Jason Statham…at all. I think I have seen most of his movies (for some reason?) and have hated all the ridiculous over the top violence and his “action guy” persona. I really don’t think this movie will be very different. But hey if you like that stuff then kudos.

Deleted Scene From Iron Man

August 15th, 2008

So basically here is a plot hole filled from Iron Man. Basically for those of you who are like me and didn’t get it at first, it wouldn’t be possible for Iron Man to fly from California to the Middle East in his suit. So basically here is his alibi, a party in Dubai. Good to see but probably a good thing it was cut. What do you guys think?
